New York, NY (March 13, 2019) – AMR Care Group has signed an agreement with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to provide expanded case management services for people on Long Island and in New York City, providing a continuum of care for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). This will be the first time the Society has partnered with AMR.

Under the agreement, the Society will refer people in need of an in-person case manager to AMR, which in turn will help manage access to local resources on a personalized level. AMR Care Group expert case managers will assist clients with complex needs by identifying and addressing barriers, accessing needed resources and services, as well as community options, while maintaining family and other relationships and support.

“Our care managers are well equipped to provide this service because we already provide these services to our existing clients,” said Anne Markowitz Recht, LMSW, CMC, CEO of AMR Care Group. “Helping someone navigate the uncharted territory of an MS diagnosis can mean the difference between living with MS and having it take over your life. We are looking forward to being a trusted resource and partner with the Society and the people who seek them out for help.”

“People living with MS are sometimes faced with complex and challenging situations that threaten their ability to live independently,” said Cyndi Zagieboylo, the Society’s President and CEO. “By partnering with AMR Care Group, we can provide people living with MS access to experts on services and resources to meet their individual needs where they live. Our mission at the Society is to help people with MS live their best lives and helping them live independently goes a long way to achieving that goal.”
