It’s December and that means all things holiday, family and happy!!  Right?

Not so much.  To most people December means buying (the right) gifts for family, friends and business associates, making parties, going to parties, buying new clothing for the parties, writing cards (and some with a year review!), and on and on.  And that spells S-T-R-E-S-S.

Add on caring for an elderly or ill loved one and the stress just multiplies. What to do?

Take a breath.  A deep one.  If everything doesn’t get done, that’s OK.  If you are caring for a loved one then your family and friends will understand.  Presents will be accepted even when they are given late and even much later. As a caregiver, it’s OK to take time for yourself.  Go to a movie.  Meet a friend for dinner. Go to a party or two.  Try to enjoy what is supposed to be this wonderful time of year.

No matter what December brings….Don’t Stress Out.
